Africa/ Egypt/ Nubia educational tour
April 5th, through April 15th. 2012
Starting at $2956.00 P.P Double Room
It's a beautiful thing to see and experience your own people of African decent, still living in communities that literally surround the great monuments of Nubia. Yes we have the Great Pyramids of lower Egypt, but even better is the Nubian experience' which entails visiting some of the greatest monuments in the world For instance the Great Temple of Rameses ll and his queen wife Nefertari at Abu Simbel the great rock hewn temples close to the border of the Sudan. The temple of Isis known as the Jewel of the Nile. The temple of Horus and Sebek at Kom Ombo, also the great temple of Heru at Edfu, the Valley of the kings and queens, the temple of Hatshepsut at Del el Bari, Karnack Temple the largest temple in the world, Luxor Temple, the Temple of Dendera and much much more. Also the Lake Nasser cruise will offer a special treat in that the opportunity to visit temples off the beaten path such as: the Temple of Mandulis at Kalabsha, kiosk of Qertassi dedicated to the goddess Isis by the great Pharaoh Seti l (Men-Maat-Ra), Bait Al-Wali rock hewn temple built by Rameses ll, the Temple at Wadi Es Sebua, The temple of Serapis at Al-Maharraqa, Amada Temple constructed by Thotmosis lll, Fortress (Palace) of Kasr Ibrim Rock hewn temple of Al-Derr dedicated to the Gods Amun Ra and Ra-Horakhty, the rock hewn tomb of Pennut, the Temple of the God Thoth at Al-Dakka. This is a beautiful cruise. Personally I had no idea that the greatest concentration of these monuments were located in the south (Nubia), near the border of the Sudan until my first visit to Egypt in 1987. Here all of these monuments are still tended today by black African people who still live there, where our ancestors initially built these huge megalithic monuments.
